Overview & rules

Single-layer tip-out shoe cabinet. Three compartments. Cam-lock carcass, black M frames on the No.9 floors, doors that tip forward.

What you need

  • Soft surface — carpet or a blanket on the floor
  • Phillips screwdriver (hand, not a drill)
  • The paper manual next to this guide

How to do it

  1. Work on a soft surface so the white boards do not scratch.
  2. Never force a joint. If it will not seat, stop and check which face is up and whether the holes line up.
  3. Cam locks (B) only turn about 180°. Stop when the joint pulls tight. One more half-turn can crack the board.
  4. Put every A cam bolt into its panel before you start locking pieces together.
  5. Skip F (mesh vents) if they will not press in. Everything else matters more.
